you cant go wrong with jbl or mackie
why would you run one mixer into another powered mixer? do you already have that yamaha? if so, it should work fine, but if not there is no reason to buy two mixers; just get a stand-alone amp.

2.) Keep using your soundcard on your computer for the A/D analog to digital conversion. Buy an inexpensive mixer like a behringer
