Learning to sing?

I have a question for all you non-natural born singers who sing now, what did you do? Did you take lessons? Did you find a website online? Did you just practice on your own?

Just start with rock type songs. green day etc. then move up the ladder to harder stuff. don't try to start with any thing like zepellin, you'll die trying. haha.

i tape recorded myself singing for the first time yesterday. guess what i tried to sing! BLACK DOG! HAHA. lol yea i wasnt to great on that but good riddance didn't soudn to bad.

i quit singing for like a month
and i have no idea what to do to get a good voice... i just practiced

and try not to sing along with a cd too much... its not good.. i know that much

I can't sing worth crap...Maybe I'm not too terrible, but my voice is definately not for lead.
