So i can't play this song and it drives me crazy cause i love this song soo much. i've looked at the tab and i've searched for other tabs and i can't play the song. sooooo, if someone could maybe make a recording of it for me(anyone) i would really like that. This song baffles me dammit

Hey man, thanks dude. That actually helped out alot. Atleast it put it into a chord sort of style, it was that whole slide stuff that was throwing me off. I can actually play a decent version of it now. Many thanks

I honestly don't think that Dave plays the riff anymore , he is becoming more lazy lol , Tim does the slides now and Dave handles chords instead , atleast thats what he does on the video i have

When I play it, I mix up the riff with the chords to add a little variation.
Does Dave play it on an electric on LiC? Or is it just timmy and that mitch rutman dude.

I was wondering how do you strum and get those notes in the riff for the maker, do u bar the note behind it, because you only want to play those two notes. If not how do u mute the other ones you hit during strumming

Just mute the adjacent strings with the sides of your fingers

Those tabs are great... but I have a question... what kind of strumming pattern are you using? On all of the versions of "The Maker" that I have, all I can hear are the slides. A little help on strumming on these tabs would be greatly appreciated...

Well, in the Mpegs of LiC webcast, I hear dave's guitar come through clearly.

Also, the guitar he uses at LiC, were 2 black chets, one downtuned for Last Stop. That's it.
